Chimo! Wachiya! My name is Paula Menarick, I was born and raised in Chisasibi, Quebec. I am an Inuk/Cree traditional and contemporary artist. As a child I remember watching my mother, aunts and grandmothers make beautiful bead work, embroidery and all sorts of other crafts. I was facinated by their beautiful work and I knew that I would follow in their footsteps. They were my first teachers and inspiration. I am very grateful for all they have taught me. Creating is a true passion of mine and I enjoy sharing it with everyone!

Do you take any orders? 

I am currently unable to take any orders due to a high demand and many unfinished projects. 

How often do you have sales?

I will try my best to have a sale at least once a month. I willl make an announcement a few days prior to the sale on my Facebook and Instagram. 

Where are you located? 

I am located in Iiyiyu Istchee: Ouje-Bougoumou & Chibougamau, Quebec, Canada.

I am non Indigenous can I purchase your crafts?

Yes you can! My crafts are made for everyone. When buying an Indgenous craft it is always best to learn about the item. When you know the story behind an object you gain knowledge of the item which gives you an appeciation and respect of the item. When purchasing from an Indigenous artist you are also showing your support!
